Is crypto mining profitable in 2020?

I would like to tell you that the starter of cryptocurrency mining was Bitcoin and nowadays there are lots of cryptocurrency in the market .

Now what is cryptocurrency mining ? So crypto mining means some mathematical task which is done by CPU/GPU.

How does it work ?  It uses distributed computers to solve calculation problems , distributed means it can use your laptop/desktop or mobile devices and using your devices they will solve some mathematical tasks and pay you some percentage of the amount .

What tasks do they solve ? nothing just encryption & decryption of transactions  as you will be knowing cryptocurrency  do not have centralized servers like banks are having, means what ever  transactions you do bank have all the records by whom to whom particular  transactions is done and can be rollbacked because all the things are managed by Bank but in case of cryptocurrency it is decentralized means to track or solve it does not have any particular servers like banks are having  it uses normal users CPU/GPU power to solve  all  transactions & calculations .

How does it use normal users CPU/GP power ? you install a mining application and join to a network pool and some tasks are continually assigned to your machine by that pool, In this way it uses your CPU and GPU power example  : Network pool sends you some calculations taks after solving the calculation your mining application will sent back the final result  to network pool and you are paid by network pool provider for each task done by your machine .

How much do they pay ? It depends on your CPU/GPU Hashes rate  per second 

Is mining worth it ? Yes it was but not in 2020 you can earn a basic amount but can not be a rich person by doing this but can earn a basic pocket money .

If someone is thinking to do mining for business purpose like purchasing hardware and start mining so I will like to tell you that you will get electricity+internet  bill more than you earn 

It is not profitable for business purpose but yes home users and students can do this if your system is ideal and earn some kind of pocket money because you don't have to worry about electricity and internet bill
